Charlie Ford is a visual artist from Greater Manchester working across drawing, choreography and design. In the studio he maintains a rigorous drawing practice that strikes a balance between delicacy and precision, paying close attention to placement and arrangement and considering the drawing surface as a space for movement. 

Charlie resides in the Upper Calder Valley, West Yorkshire, where alongside his studio practice he works as a freelance CAD Technician. He regularly works alongside dance artist and choreographer Lucy Suggate on interdisciplinary projects that bring together their practices in the visual arts, dance, choreography and design. With a small team, he also runs Open Drawing at Wainsgate, an hour for drawing and mark-making in the company of others, which runs Monday through Friday every week.
